The folks at MobileBurn have snagged themselves a production Nokia N76 and review it in reasonable depth. The good: it's sleek and with the usual S60 degree of 'smart'ness. The bad: only a 700mAh battery, a hiss on music playback and a 3.5mm audio jack location that fouls the flip lid... And yes, we're enquiring after a review N76 of our own....
AAS reader Abbas Reza emailed in with some eloquent opinions on the comparison between the Nokia N95 and E90, perhaps the two converged devices of the moment. Steve enters into the debate and then Rafe ties things up at the end. Presenting N95 vs E90: your Wednesday morning read...
The public availability of Motorola's much anticipated RIZR Z8 UIQ phone is drawing nearer. The latest indications suggest it will be in the shops in Europe in the first half of June. Not only does he demonstrate the versatility of the device, giving some practical examples of the uses to which you can put an E90, he also illustrates the sort of battery life you can expect in real world usage. Summary: 1500mAh goes quite a bit further than the 950mAh of the N95's battery, despite the extra display size and RAM...
Surely, I thought, gazing at the Nokia N95 on my desk. Surely, its camera can't really be as bad as I and other 'power users' have been making it? Indeed it's not, and it's all due to a bug in the N95 firmware.... read on below!
To see one of the more colourful moments of Symbian's history, take a look at this Chinese music video featuring the Nokia 5700 ...if you dare. Is that Confucius doing a cameo?
In the (ahem, rather short) AAS video podcast 15, I demonstrate 8 ways to play music from a Nokia N95. If you can think of others, please comment! (You can watch in the page itself, download in MP4 format or subscribe via RSS.)
