New Nokia accessories enhance Nseries phones

Nokia has announced 5 new accessories to complement its Nseries range of phones. The announced accessories include the Nokia Bluetooth GPS Module (LD-4W), the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo headset (BH-903), the Nokia Bluetooth Headset (BH-903), the Nokia Bluetooth Speakers (MD-7W) and the Nokia Power Pack (DC-1). All the accessories will be available globally in due course.

iSkoot enables Skype for UIQ 3

iSkoot, which allows you to make and receive Skype calls and instant messages on your phone, is now available as a native application for all UIQ 3 phones (P1i, P990, M600 and W950). iSkoot works by using a normal phone call to reach a special iSkoot number before passing the call on to Skype over the Internet.

New N-Gage logo confirmed... and animated

The official N-Gage blog has now confirmed that the new N-Gage logo seen at the GCDC is indeed genuine. They've also released an animated version of the new logo (click Save As and open it in Windows Media Player). The animation is reminiscent of the one Nintendo used when launching the Wii. This may be a clue as to Nokia's intentions with the Next Gen N-Gage: to appeal to casual gamers and expand the phone game market, just as the Wii has done with the console game market.
