A joint statement from Nokia and Capcom today confirmed that Capcom would be publishing games on Nokia's upcoming Next Gen N-Gage platform. The platform is due to launch later this year across a range of existing and future S60 3rd Edition smartphones, and the first games from Capcom should appear in 2008.

Other confirmed third party publishers on the Next Gen N-Gage platform include EA, Digital Chocolate, I-play, Gameloft and Glu Mobile.

Third party publishers rumoured to be interested include Sony (yes, Sony!), Square Enix, Activision, Disney and THQ.
