PC Lifeblog upgraded to version 2.5

Nokia have quietly shipped a new version of the PC portion of Lifeblog, the multimedia life recording tool. The new features include the addition of a tag engine, the addition of a new 'stacking' view parameter to the time line, improved slide show creation and viewing and support for basic image editing.

BBC to trial syndication of TV channels over 3G

The BBC has announced plan to begin a 12 month trial to syndicate its TV channels over 3G mobile phone networks in the UK with operators 3, Orange and Vodafone. A number of radio channels will also be available. Separately the BBC has also announced an enhanced version of  the BBC Mobile site.

Snake Reinvented? Not really...

Symbian OS 9.5

Today at CTIA, Symbian is announcing version 9.5 of its operating system. The new version delivers improved performance including lower memory and processor requirements, more multimedia features including support for advanced camera features, better PC connectivity, support for DVB-H and ISDB-T Mobile TV standards and improved network and connection management features. Symbian 9.5 is fully backwardly compatible with all member of the Symbian 9.x family. Read on for more.

At last, a real IRC client for S60 3rd Edition

Remember how IRC was used before the all these Instant Messaging (ICQ, AOL, MSN, YM GTalk) clients? There was software for earlier S60 called Wireless IRC but it seems to be dead now. S60 3rd Edition users can now use mIRGGI, the first native IRC client. It's still in early beta but it does the job pretty well.
