Nokia launch mobile printing service in Europe

Nokia have launched a mobile photo printing service for Europe for its Nseries phones. The Nokia XpressPrint service is a downloadable add-on for the Gallery application. Photos are uploaded to an online printing service and delivered by post. Prices and availability vary by country; in the UK prints cost 10p and in addition to a different print sizes a number of other products (mugs, t-shirts and bears) are also available.

Kudos to Nokia's S60.com lifestyle site for constantly coming up with interesting freebies. 'SMS Export' for S60 3rd Edition is this month's limited edition download, plus there are new themes to grab and more. Note that you do need to register on the site, but it's free.

Opera Mini 4 Beta now available

The beta of Opera Mini 4 is now available from the Opera website. The new version renders a full page overview from which you can then zoom in to read the page (very reminiscent of S60's browser overview / minimap mode). Other new features include the introduction of a mouse and power scrolling making it easier to move around pages and a quick access context menu. Read on for more and screenshots.

Smart2Go (Nokia Maps) beta over?

[Updated] Smart2Go, in beta for months, is 'final', or as final as a first version can be. Although we were told that it's not available yet, the Smart2Go web site seems to show it. See the comments below, for example. Listed in the full story are most of the improvements, applicable to both the generic version and the 'Nokia Maps' brand within the N95 and E90. Lots that's new - I've made a few screenshots below...

There's going to be a companion utility, YTasks, for those interested in the tech details behind how S60 and Symbian OS are working. A download page for it hasn't been created yet and YTasks is still in beta, but some Nokia E90 screenshots are shown below, to whet your appetite.
