Jaiku beta now open
Published by Steve Litchfield at 15:49 BST, June 22nd 2007
I'd been hearing some very good things about the new beta client for Jaiku for S60, but the beta was closed and I seemed to have missed the boat. Well, it seems to be fully public and open again. Sign up and grab the free S60 beta of Jaiku here.

Has anybody tried Twitter instead of Jaiku. I personally find Twitter more simple to use. Jaiku has a lot of extra frill (which you can chose not to use). That and I think the Badges from Twitter look nicer.

Just to clarify: there is publicly available Jaiku Mobile for S60 devices, which have been published around March 2007. It allows you to post messages to Jaiku, view your friends latest jaiku and does some nifty things like automatic location based on cell tower ids.
But we are also currently having closed beta for client version that allows posting, commenting, viewing full Jaiku streams of other people.
Lately there has been several blog posts describing the new client, e.g. see three-part series from Ken Camp in his blog Digital Common Sense.
