Shape Services have released a S60 3rd Edition version of their IM+ instant messaging program. IM+ allows you to access ICQ, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber and Google Talk IM services on your phone. Features include chat message history, auto away and file swapping/upload.

ZingMagic has released S60 3rd Edition and UIQ 3 versions of some its most popular games. S60 3rd Edition games include MagiLines (an addictive puzzle game played with counters), Chess Professional and Zingles Sudoku. UIQ 3 games include MagiLines, Zingles Soduku, Enigma (a logic game in the style of Mastermind) and Mahjonng (the classic tile matching game).
That's right, it can only be... SlovoEd, that scourgeXXXXX err... centrepiece of Symbian OS software listings, is now available for all S60 3rd Edition devices. SlovoEd is a dictionary engine and there around 100 different language-to-language variants.
Although this is basically yet another Sudoku game (yawn...) 'Number Puzzle' is interesting in that Nokia have licensed it and are giving it away free for all registered S60 2nd Edition users on their s60.com site. It's worth the download, anyway.
Mobipocket is now available for Symbian 9.1 devices (both S60 3rd Edition and UIQ 3). Mobipocket is a free eBook reader that enables the reading of both text based eBook files (such as TXT and Palm DOC formats) and Mobipocket DRM format eBook files. The Mobipocket reader includes features such as auto scrolling, full screen view, purchase books on device, annotations and more. A must have piece of software for all devices.
So the media welcome Sony's online distribution of old PlayStation games, but have poured scorn on Nokia's attempt to do the same with old N-Gage titles? Ewan points out this contradiction and looks forward to vindication of Nokia's strategy when the 'N-Gage platform' becomes mature.
The allTunes mobile client, which allows access to the allTunes music service (a service similar to iTunes), has been updated. The new version allows access to full song previews, account log in, and full track music download. The allTunes client is available for S60 1st, 2nd and 3rd Edition and UIQ 2.x phones.

OPL (the Open Source Programming Langauge) has been updated for Series 80 owners. The release is mostly bug fixes, and better compatibility for 9300 and 9500 owners, although there are some enhanced commands. Release notes are at the SourceForge page, as are the binaries and source code.
