Sebastian Jedruszkiewicz has released the first version of emTube, a freeware YouTube client application. emTube allows you to browse (by search, by featured video, by top rated videos and by most viewed videos), view and download YouTube videos or play back a locally stored file. It is an impressively polished application for a first release and is the best YouTube/FlashVideo solution for S60 phones I have seen thus far. Read on for screenshots and more details.
Steve has been looking at the latest version of Quickoffice , a powerful office suite for S60 phones. AAS regular Tim Salmon ordered a new Nokia N95 (classic) recently and received a box with sticker (shown below) proclaiming that the DC-4 car charger is now also included 'in the box'. Comments welcome as to how widespread this practice is, but it's a big thumbs-up from my perspective and is one less cable to buy for new owners.

One piece of news that’s been picked up around the internet , with little clear answers, is that T-Mobile in the USA and the popular Twitter service stopped working this weekend. Whether by design or by mistake, it’s a timely reminder that in this world of third party services over mobile, the networks can switch them off, quote ‘terms of service’ and it’s game over.
The Nokia E90 alone in terms of form factor and specs for so long, is about to acquire a Windows Mobile-powered rival, the Toshiba Portege G910, according to Unwired View . Mind you, I said the same about the i-Mate Ultimate 7150, and look what happened to that...

Missing Sync is a sync solution for Mac OS X users, it allows syncronisation of contacts (Apple Address Book), calendar entries (iCal), photos (iPhoto), videos (Quick Time) and music (iTunes) to and from the phone. The software supports all UIQ 3 and S60 3rd Edition phones and will be made available in Q1 2008.
It's good to see that Nokia's S60 is embracing the potential of video, with tutorials for beginners on their new YouTube channel, looking at Multitasking, Browsing and Downloading. Why not give them some feedback in the YouTube movie comments?
