DreamConnect 3 gets import/export and Signed Status

DreamSpring, creators of the comprehensive UIQ 3 Contacts replacement, DreamConnect, have today issued a big update. v3.5 adds full vCard import and export capability, including hierarchical categories, in addition to new fully Symbian Signed status. The press release is below.

As Promised, Sony Ericsson Updates P990 Firmware to R6E28

Sony Ericsson promised to offer a new P990 firmware in August. It seems it's available already. From SEUS, there's a new firmware, labelled as R6E28. If you have the guts to update your P990 firmware, go ahead and hit the update button. Unfortunately, there's no information about what has been corrected or any new bugs. Stay tuned for my report in the near future.

Go! 2.0 (no, not the game... this time)

It's..... the daily E-series blog link, this time highlighting the fact that there's a whole new version of Yahoo! Go on the loose. It's a 700K Java applet that's RAM intensive, alas, but that not withstanding it does give complete access to all your Yahoo! stuff and has weather and maps as well, with full GPS integration (on the likes of the Nokia N95). Nokia to launch music service shortly?

Fortune (via moconews) is reporting that Nokia may shortly be launching an online music store and downloading service similar to Apple's iTunes. The service is based around technology gained with the acquisition of Loudeye is expected to be announced at an upcoming Nokia event in London. It is also likely the event will also be the venue for the launch of the latest in the Nseries range of phones. Read on for further information and analysis.

Unboxing the Sony Ericsson P1i and First Impressions

P1iIt's here at last, read on for Steve Litchfield's first impressions, ahead of Rafe's big P1i review. Almost 80MB of free RAM, a mature software interface (generally) and a super camera make for a good start for this make-or-break device for Sony Ericsson.
