London Street Map provides a map of central London for your phone. All the necessary data is stored on the phone (so you need 7.5 mb of space). The area covered is Wapping to Notting Hill and Brixton to Caledonian Road. ou can scroll round the map or search for specific street. Future plans include making available for purchase further map areas.
VITO Technology has announced an update of its powerful contact manager for SonyEricsson P800/P900 phones. VITO QuickContact version 4.15 allows to backup and restore all your contacts which is useful if you reset your phone. It keeps categories and pictures, so you won't need to classify your contacts again.
Symbianware have updated their GPS navigation program to version 2 and added an impressive array of features. Intended for use with a Bluetooth GPS the program allows you to view information being received by the GPS unit such as location, direction of travel, speed, altitude and more. Furthermore the program will keep a record of points allowsing 'tracks' to be viewed (a record of where you've been). With accompanying PC software you can create maps that you can then track your progress on. PowerNavigation is a highly flexible GPS map program.
Symbinware have announced the availability of PowerCar for the P800 and P900. The program allows you to keep track of all car related expenses such as fuel and trip expenses (car parking, tolls and maintenance). The program has flexible data input, both text and graph based reports. The programs includes support for multiple cars.

THQ and Nokia have announced "World Wrestling Entertainment - Aftershock," what looks to be a beat-em up with bells on. It's got the requisite multiplayer over bluetooth, championship/career modes (with ten fighters to choose from) and a bucket load of dry ice so it can flex it's muscles as it comes out in the stores closer to Christmas.
Intuwave have made available a beta version of mRouter 3 the software used to connect many Symbian smartphones to PC's. Improvments include tighter integration with Bluetooth, improved ease of use (including set up wizards, setting of preffered devices and more). There are also several technical improvement relating to developers, security and support for Symbian OS 8.0.

Canalys have published the latest marketsare figures from the EMEA mobile device market. In it the figures show 94% marketshare for Symbian OS. Nokia have sold 1,351,400 units, Sony Ericsson 149,500 and Siemens 61,490. Nokia currently represents 85% of all Symbian devices sold.
