The ITV-F1 website (a UK based Formula 1 Broadcaster) is offering the chance to win a McLaren SX-1. Redshift have released an updated pack for Legacy, their RPG adventure for the Nokia Communicator and UIQ platforms. Entitled "The Legend" needs version 1.05 of Legacy to be installed. We've reviewed Legacy previously if you want to know more.
American Wireless carrier AT&T are now offering the EDGE Enabled Nokia 6620 (reports Infosync). Russ Beattie got a hold of one of the first models, and talks about it here.
Cyberon VoiceCommander is a program which allows you to control your UIQ phone using your voice. It allows you to call contacts specifying home or office, view appointments and more - all with your voice.
Neohand have released Series 60 versions of many of their existing programs. These include Pocket Vineyard and Pocket Bartender (Wine and Drinks guides), and Pocket Gourmet. Several bundles are also available reducing the price if you want more than one of the programs.
Scalado have released PhotoTwister which allows you to morph pictures taken with your camera phone into a wide (and bizarre) range of shapes. The program has 10 warp effects and 5 artistic effects.
A certificate which enables you to install Symbain Signed applications on to your Sony Ericsson UIQ phone is now available. Symbian Signed is a central Signing (testing) program for Symbian phones. The signing means that the application has passed the test criteria and is digitally signed to guarantee the source and integrity of the application. The P900 and newer phones have the certificate preinstalled by the manufacturer.
Symbian is aware that an illegally adapted or ‘cracked’ game called Mosquitos is being distributed by ‘warez’ websites (illegal software download sites) and on peer-to-peer (P2P) networks.* This game has been illegally adapted from the legitimate Mosquitos game developed by Ojom. RMRExpense and RMRDiet have been released by RMR Software. Designed for the financial and physical sides of your life, these programs have proved popular on a number of PDA platforms, so it's great to see them on UIQ (Free OPL Runtime required).

It's been on the "AAN Rumoured" list for some time, but Nokia and THQ have finally confirmed Worms World Party will be available on MMC Game Card for the N-Gage in November 2004. So stand by for a million "previews" of screenshots from all the other N-Gage sites on the internet, while we'll wait until we actually see a beta copy from Finland.
DoCoMo recently announced the fifth FOMA handset powered by Symbian the F900ic. It is the first 3G smart card phone (a system that allows for an elctronic wallet system with which you can pay for things in the same way as debit and credit cards). The phone includes a megapixel camera and a fingerprint sweep sensor for security.
