Nokia Sensor is a program designed to run on Series 2.0+ phones. It may have a lot of buzz words - a social Bluetooth smartphone application, but it is an intriguing idea. You set up a personal homepage (dubbed a folio) and other Sensor users can read this (and you can read theirs). The folio includes your profile (pictures, motto etc.), a file sharing page (where you can put pictures, video and audio) and a Guestbook. The program works by scanning for other users over Bluetooth, which can be set to happen automatically in the background while the phone is on. Once connected you can read other's folio, leave them a message, and retieve their files.
Mobile Search for Series 60 is a cross program search tool for Series 60 phones. It allows you to search through Contacts, Calendar, Todo's, SMS's and Notes in one go (e-mail, and files are promised for a future version). The lack of a universal search has always been somewhat puzzling given the popularity of the feature of the original Palm platform, and for those missing this grep like functionality Mobile Search from Odendahl SEPT-Solutions might be the answer.

It's the difference between disappointment and success. It's the difference between getting your application on 1000 and 100,000 smartphones. It's the difference between getting almost no coverage in the press and getting plenty. And the difference can be bridged with only a little effort.

Winner of the best app at the recent "Orange Code Camp," F(x) 2.0 beta 3 has been released. It's more than a graphical calculator, and there's a touch of a programming langauge to it, but for professionals, F(x) is certainly worth looking at in closer detail. There are a number of applets available for the environment that can provide notes, outlines, conversions and rapid development of form based apps.
