Another month, another Nokia Flash site...

Well, you hire umpteen Flash programmers, you've got to give them something to do each month.... This new affair has multiple 'video' screens showing reality clips shot on the London Underground, each (vaguely) promoting FIFA 08 and N-Gage in general. Strangely, they're still giving the game away for free! (via Darla)

nokia don't have lots of flash programmers - they hire agencies to do work like this.
cost of things like this is tiny compared to say one tv commercial slot.

They're still giving FIFA away because the N-Gage app still hasn't been embedded on new phones, and relatively few people know how to install an S60 app manually.
It's the embedding that is the real launch, and it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, apparently Nokia don't really do anything N-Gage-related themselves except the application itself, the multiplayer network and the official website. Everything else is contracted out to outside companies.
Apparently the only game they did in-house was Pocket Kingdom, and that was actually a co-production with Sega who own the rights to the IP.
