What this means is that someone has created software that allows you to take an N-Gage game, whip it onto a normal memory card and then wham-bam-thankyou-mam, you have it on your regular Series-60 Smartphone. Sounds like good news for consumers? Nokia doesn't think so, so if you're the dodgy geezer who did this thing, you better watch your back because Nokia has a warrant with your name on it (you can also read about it here).

Recently several programs have been released for Series 60 with the intention of helping you find you way around, ranging from European wide solutions down to individual towns and cities. The Wayfinder, gpMobile and TomTom City Map programs demonstare the flexibility of Series 60. With the addition of a bluetooth GPS these programs should ensure you're never lost again (except when you forget the phone...). Here's a quick run down of all three programs.
Psiloc have released Vision for Series 60. Vision allows you to assign videos to contacts that are then played when that contact rings you. You effectively have video ringtones. The software also supports display of full screen pictureson an incoming call. The software is compatiable with all Series 60 handsets.
Cibenix announced today that their Active Desk and Active Today products, which implement today screen like functionality for Symbian phones are now compatiable with the Nokia 6600.
Rumours of Nokia plans to buy Psion have been published in varioussources following a newspaper report this Sunday. This has obvious implications for ownership of Symbian. Nokia and Psion have a combined shareholding of 63.3%. The news should be treated with caution at this stage, with no confirmatory evidence from Nokia or Psion and some analysis suggesting such a move is unlikely.

Sendo and Opera have today announced that the new Series 60 Sendo X will have Opera rather than a WAP browser. Opera's Small Screen Rendering allows HTML sites to be viewed without having to use horizontal scrolling, making it far more user-friendly. EwanFreEPOC saw a demo of the Sendo X with Opera and was impressed.
The native C++ Database application, HandyDataBank from Epocware has been updated to v1.10. HandyDates has also been updated to v2.0, fixing some syncing problems, Lotus Notes importing, and adding a few new views.
Opera have announced today that BenQ's new UIQ phone due for release early in 2004 will use Opera's Smartphone Edition browser. The phone will use Symbian OS 7.0.

The price of the N-Gage in the US has been dropped by $100. The new price is available at game stores such as Electronics Boutique and Gamestop. Online retailer Amazon is alsoo offering the N-Gage at the new price. $199 - not bad!
