Mobile Burn have posted that Panasonic are to bring out a clamshell Series 60 device the X700 in July. It does not say much but states it has Bluetooth and a TFT screen. Lets hope Panasonic confirm this themselves soon and provide us with some more details.
Nokia and Sega have announced two new titles for the N-Gage. Virtua Cop is a mulitplayer first person shooter (your job is to bring down an evil crime syndicate). Alien Front has you take command of futuristic tanks to defend the earth from aliens. Alien Front has a Bluetooth death-match mode and supports N-Gage Arena.
Psion have dissolved any relationship with Symbian by selling its stake to Nokia. This gives Nokia a 63% share of the company and puts then firmly in control. The F900i was officially available from today. As previously reported this is a phone for DoCoMo FOMA network. Key features include a 1.28 Megapixel camera for photos and video calling, a finger print scanner for security, and a Macromedia Flash player.
Sony Ericsoon have released an updated version of their Windows software for making themes for their phones. The P900 is now supported. You can use the theme editor to customise almost every aspect of the UI.
The N-Gage is being dropped from 450 of the GameStop stores in the USA according to this Games Industry article. Although GameStop is not compeletely getting rid of the N-gage the device has largely been considered a failure and this has lead to speculation that Nokia will unveil an N-Gage 2 at the E3 show in May. Perhaps this is also the reason why the N-Gage is being sold off cheap in the UK?
