3-d Action? 4 way Bluetooth multiplayer suppourt? User Forums and download new levels from the N-Gage Arena? Here comes Snakes on MMC for the N-Gage, and we've tracked down some screenshots for you. No word on availability, but this could be a very sought after title given the reactions of the AAN Editorial Team...
What's in a name? Quite a lot - so what's up with the stange new worlds of the N-Gage Family? Here's some quick and dirty commentary for a Friday afternoon, as we ask, What Does QD Really Stand For?
Ewan's been casting his expert eye over the N-Gage QD at today's press launch and he's reasonably happy with what he's found out. It's not the perfect machine Nokia were hoping for, and there's very little to tempt existing N-Gage Users to upgrade, but it's nice. Here's what he thought, in another of our "30 Minutes With" articles.
Nokia and Activision announce Call of Duty, a first person shooter based in World War 2, will be availale in Quarter 4 2002. Pardon us for being cynical, but lets see the aleady announced games in the shops before you start shouting about the new ones.
Nokia will launch the N-Gage QD today to a packed audience in London's Leicester Square. The All About N-Gage team are heading there right now, to find out everything they can about the unit. But here's some confirmed news. All the net rumours are true. We've said goodbye to side talking, we've got our Hot Swappable MMC Card. What's really new? Read on...
Today's issue of Edge carries an article confirming the internet images of the next N-Gage. Mark Squires, Nokia UK's Director of corporate communications, talks about the new N-Gage. "The new device concentrates on the gaming side of things, and adds a number of changes," including Slightly smaller footprint (but thicker), 65,000 colours rather than 4,096, No more side talking, Hot-swapping MMC cards. In addition Mark Squires hints that the original "contains an MP3 player and a number of other things, like the radio," where as the new "device is a pure gaming experience." So it looks like the MP3 player and radio are not included.

The first picture of what purports to be N-Gage 2 (or whatever it's going to be called) have started appearing on the web. From a quick glance the keys have be reorganised a bit resulting in a device smaller than the size of the original. It also looks to be sporting Series 60 2.0.
What many of us hoped wouldn't happen has happened. Marcel Desailly Pro Soccer has been delayed until May. No word yet on why, but the three April game releases have now all been pulled. Given that we've had a review copy of Marcel Desailly now for some time, we're not sure what's going on with Nokia. One thing's for sure. There's a lot of angry customers out there, and many of them may not come back to the system, even if the games begin appearing.
If Carlsberg ever made an instant messaging client for Series 60, they'd probably write the greatest IRC Client in the world. Well, actually, they wouldn't. Thye just use WirelessIRC from Mobiways. Read Ewan's Review to find out why.
Nick Alexander has been appointed by Nokia on a consultancy basis to promote the N-Gage to UK Gamers (reports Games Industry). We wish Nick luck, and reading his CV (he used to be at Sega UK and Virgin Interactive) he's got the background knowlegde to succeed. And it's nothing if not a challenge. Perhaps an intereview with All About N-Gage staff might be a good place to start?
Chris Rydberg has news from Taito. Their Retro Arcade fest of Taito Memories has been suspended and will not be released. Along with that news, their other N-Gage plans have 'not been determined.' The N-Gage software scene is not good at the moment, with Sega delaing apps, Taito pulling out and EA commenting that the N-Gage isn't the greatest of machines. Let's hope April the 14th doesn't turn into a wake.
Steve Litchfield puts WayFinder to the test on his P800. It may not rival NavMan and TomTom on other platforms, but it comes pretty close in some areas... at a price. Read the review here.
