Sony Ericsson have launched a new develop website. Previsouly information was available on Ericsson's Mobility World (mophun, Java, Symbian). This will now be available on Sony Ericsson Developer World. There are several levels of memberships (including a free one). Pay for levels have the option to buy phones at discounted prices in an early access program.

There's plenty of information available and brings the Sony Ericsson developer offering up to date. A special offer is available where by you get a free copy of the Codewarrior Development Kit for Symbian if you sign up for on the pay options.

Membership Overview

Become a member of Sony Ericsson Developer World and get access to technical documentation, SDKs and development tools. Based on your needs as a developer, you can choose between three different membership levels; Community, Core and Core+ Member. As a member you can also sign up for our free monthly Developer Newsletter. For selected developers, with whom Sony Ericsson has entered a partner agreement to secure strategic applications development in time for new product launches, we also have a fourth level, Core++ Member. The Core++ Membership cannot be purchased.

Community Membership
The Community Membership will give you access to all technical documentation, SDKs and development tools needed for you to get started. At this membership level, you will get access to Sony Ericsson Developer Knowledge Base as well as the Community forums monitored by our developer support team. You can also subscribe to the Sony Ericsson Developer Newsletter, where you can read about the latest happening, new Sony Ericsson products and the latest downloadable tools available for application development targeting Sony Ericsson platforms. The Community Membership is free of charge.

Core Membership
The Core Membership is the most cost effective way for you as a professional developer to get started. As a Core Member, you will have early access to purchase Sony Ericsson phones at a discount (one phone per model) and you will have direct access to Sony Ericsson Developer Support engineers via e-mail (5 support incidents included). On a quarterly basis, we will send you a Sony Ericsson member kit. Core Members of course have access to all the services that are available to Community Members. All this for an annual fee of USD 500. Registration for Core memberships will be available starting October 27, 2003.

Core+ Membership
The Core+ Membership is our most exclusive membership and the membership that will give you a close relationship to Sony Ericsson. As a Core+ Member, you will have early access to purchase Sony Ericsson phones at a discount (up to 3 phones per model) and you will have priority access to Sony Ericsson Developer Support engineers via e-mail (50 support incidents included). You will be assigned a Sony Ericsson Developer account manger for you to discuss business opportunities. On a quarterly basis, we will send you a Sony Ericsson member kit. Core+ Members of course have access to all the services that are available to Community Members. All this for an annual fee of USD 2500. Registration for Core+ memberships will be available starting October 27, 2003.
