Samsung signs up to Series 60

Samsung is the latest phone manufacturer to sign up to Nokia's Symbian based 'Series 60' software for smartphones. This will further increase Symbian's dominant position in the Smartphone market. More details can found here and here.

I think this just leaves Kyocera as one of the main phone manufacturers that have not signed to use the Symbian OS. My only query is are Nokia going to end up in a monopoly position with its 'Series 60' software? Sony/Ericsson are using 'UIQ' for their P800 but only Motorola seem to be planning on using it in their smarthones. Perhaps this will change if the P800 is a success
