Nokia to hold 49% of Symbian

Sony-Ericsson, Siemens and Panasonic are taking up their pre-emtion rights to purchase a pro-rata share of Psion's stock in Symbian, along with Nokia (the FT Reports). Apart from Samsung, all of Symbian's partners are purchasing shares due to Psion's departure. This leaves Nokia with an overall 49% stake in Symbian, significantly less than the 68% it could have ended up with if they were the sole buyer.
