According to this ZDnet article Nokia and Ericsson have made progress with "Wideband code division multiple access (w-CDMA) " 3G networks. It says that Nokia will make a statement saying that the w-CDMA cell phones that they have been using for testing have met the required 3G standards.
Hopefully this will mean they will announce more details of their 3G devices. There have been hints posted that a 6650 device based on Series 60 will be announced tomorrow, so perhaps this will be confirmed. As they say "devices", I still have a hope that they may announce the rumoured 'Hilden' 92XX successor .
