Press Release:

QUICKPOINT NOW AVAILABLE FOR NOKIA SERIES 60 PLATFORM SMARTPHONES

Users of the Nokia 7650 and 3650 imaging phones will be able to review and deliver PowerPoint presentations

Scottsdale, AZ, (February 19, 2003) - Mobility Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS: MOBE), a leading provider of innovative portable computing solutions for the mobile computer user, announced the availability of its Cutting Edge Software’s Quickpoint™ for Nokia Series 60 Platform smartphones. Quickpoint is the first of the award-winning Quickoffice™ suite to be created for both the Palm OS® and the Series 60 Platform, enabling synchronization with Microsoft® PowerPoint® and allowing users to review and deliver PowerPoint presentations using their smartphones.

The initial release of Quickpoint for Series 60 smartphones offers presentation viewing capabilities that include slide views at up to three zoom levels, speaking notes, slide thumbnails, and outline mode. In the next version of Quickpoint, due to be released in the near-term, Cutting Edge Software will include two distinct ways to present PowerPoint slide content. First, Quickpoint will function as a handheld prompter by remotely controlling a PC-based PowerPoint presentation. Using a PC with Bluetooth, the presenter will be able to view the presentation on the handset in any of Quickpoint’s four view modes, including the speaking notes view, while wirelessly advancing through a presentation. Secondly, Quickpoint will be able to be used in conjunction with an upcoming Bluetooth version of iGo’s presentation adapter accessory, Pitch Duo, to allow Series 60-based handset users to present directly from the PowerPoint compatible file on the handset to SVGA or XGA projectors without the need for a PC at all.

When used in conjunction with the next-generation Pitch Duo display adapter, the presenter has the same four view modes available for presenting material without the need for a PC. Pitch Duo will attach to projectors or monitors by a standard VGA connector and will also support Bluetooth wireless connectivity to smartphones. Series 60 handset users will be able to review and give presentations and advance through their slides wirelessly from almost anywhere within a room, with or without using a PC. Leveraging the integrated camera on Series 60-based Nokia imaging handsets, such as the Nokia 3650 and 7650, users of the next-generation Pitch Duo presentation adapter can also display photos on a projector or monitor.

“Extending business applications to the mobile environment is a critical step for increasing productivity and enabling the delivery of real-time information,” said Jake Sagehorn, director, Business Applications Business Unit, Nokia. “The ability to run presentations from a Series 60 handset is a great example of how a software application can enhance the mobile experience of business professionals.”

“The Quickoffice portfolio of mobile applications has won numerous awards since Quicksheet was created for the Palm OS back in 1996,” said Paul Moreton, Cutting Edge Software’s vice president of operations and sales. “Quickoffice is regularly honored as the best-of-the-best, and it’s exciting to begin providing our customers with compatible products across multiple leading mobile device platforms.”

Quickpoint for Series 60 is available now from www.quickoffice.com and www.handango.com. The complementary iGo Pitch Duo display adapter with Bluetooth support is scheduled for release in March.
