JoyKick is a new piece of software for the Nokia 7650. It allows you to use the joystick to input data. The idea is based on the sucessful JoyCalc program by the same author Kylom.

You want to make a phone call to a person, who is number 50 down in your list of contacts? Open Contacts and now you have a choice: either you push the joystick down 50 times, or you have to open the keypad and enter the first letters of her name. Not so if JoyKick is running in the background: press the joystick twice quickly and a virtual keyboard pops up, where you can "type" the letters with a minimal number of joystick actions...

JoyKick supports predictive text input and numbers input: it detects the input mode of the application in the background and pops up the virtual keyboard suited to the situation.

Try JoyKick now and you might find out that it is easier to use than the normal keypad, even to take notes or send emails. The only thing that you will not do without opening the keypad or your Nokia 7650 is... take pictures .
