A developer known on Handango as 'Private' has released an OPL based application called CellTrack; software that does for the 9210 something similar to Psiloc's own pioneering Series60 title, MiniGPS. This application comes in Lite and Pro versions, the difference being that under pro, you can configure Profile changes for different 'cells'. The Pro costs only $9.99 and can be downloaded from here.

In case you're not aware of what this kind of software does, CellTrack will display on the main screen the current unique ID used by your mobile network operator to identify where you are within its network.

By use of a simple database, this software will allow you to rename the cell (as far as your Communicator is concerned) so that instead of displaying (for example) '1234-1234', it will display what you have specified (such as church, cinema etc).

This is a great use of cell info technology and it's even greater to see that this has been developed in OPL, showing the power and its versatility of the language.
