N-Gage version 2 in the pipeline?

Java access to N-Gage arena sounds like fun and good news for the N-Gage, but read the small print "...SNAP Mobile will be implemented in MIDP 2.0 on Series 60...". Now consider that the N-Gage and N-Gage QD are MIDP 1.0 devices! There's more to this than meets the eye...

Newer Nokia series 60 phones like the 6600, 6620 and 7610 run Symbian OS 7.0s and MIDP 2.0, so does this mean we will be seeing a second generation N-Gage based on say a 6600 early next year? I think that's quite possible, certainly the software ramifications of getting network sockets and Bluetooth to work under MIDP 1.0 would be non-trivial.

This raises another *very* interesting possibility, SNAP on a 6600 would obviously be good for gaming, but with Nokia's pigeon-holing of devices into categories perhaps there's an intent to use all the collaborative capabilities of SNAP in enterprise applications. Stick a pinstriped suit on these N-Gage Arena features and package it as say Nokia Enterprise Anywhere?
