Wiener is an industry veteran, the former head of Sega America. Within months of his appointment he implemented worldwide price cuts on N-Gage games and hardware (which are just now starting to appear at retail) and talked of some "strategic shifts" which will be announced at E3. One of these may be selling the N-Gage more as a smartphone than a games console, as the N-Gage site for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory now carries the strapline "The Gamers' Phone" throughout.
