Event Core Released for Series 60 OPL

Published by at

FreEPOC and Ewan Spence have released a new app, called Event Core. Aimed at the newcomer to OPL, while it does nothing, it provides the source code to show you how that nothing is written, how to save states, interact with the OS... in general, how to be a good application.

In Event Core, we look at the menu (and the default menu entries) are called, how the soft key menu buttons work, and how to react to system messages. Think of it as a 'skeleton' that you can hang your own code round. With half the work already done, your development should be a lot easier and quicker.

You should look at The OPL Wiki to get more help on OPL Programming.
