Catan now has full Online Multiplayer

In an interview published on N-Gage.com, Capcom has revealed that the N-Gage version of the hugely popular board game Catan will now feature live online multiplayer (with up to four players per game). As the interview says, this is the first time people around the world can play Catan together wherever they are.
This is also quite a contrast to the original Arena feature list, which simply consisted of "downloadable hints and tips". The surprise addition of full online multiplayer would explain the 6 month delay in Catan's release date, and shows Nokia going out of its way to include online gameplay wherever possible. A recent chat on N-Gage.com with the developers of Worms World Party revealed that it too was originally to be an offline game when it was first announced, but a decision was taken by Nokia to make it a full online Arena game with live multiplayer. This is why WWP's release date was also delayed by about 6 months, as online gameplay adds a massive layer of complexity to the testing phase of the development process.
