JavaOneSM Conference, Booth #1509, SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - June 10, 2003 : Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq NM: BORL) announced today the launch of BorlandŽ Mobile Studio, BorlandŽ Enterprise Studio for Mobile and BorlandŽ JBuilderŽ 9 Mobile Edition.

Both studio suites offer mobile productivity enhancements for organizations developing in Java™ and C++ languages. Borland Mobile Studio is aimed at application development for mobile devices while Borland Enterprise Studio for Mobile further extends this capability across the enterprise. Borland JBuilder 9 Mobile Edition is specifically for developers targeting mobile devices for the Java 2 Platform, Mobile Edition (J2ME™).

IDC's current forecast for the mobile development and deployment market calls for a 2001-2006 compound annual growth rate of 57 percent, increasing the market from just under $87.8 million in 2001 to $836.1 million in 2006.*
