Improving the Gold Standard

Published by Steve Litchfield at 15:08 GMT, December 8th 2007

The hands-down best S60 theme ever created, PiZero's 'Gold' has had a big upgrade, to v2.0 ! How can you have an upgrade, with bug fixes and version numbers, all for a simple theme? Because this is no ordinary theme and, like most of PiZero's other creations, it's implemented in meticulous detail. Oh, and if you like Gold 2.0, drop him a few PayPal dollars - I did.

"The hands-down best S60 theme ever created"
sorry mate but this doesn't even come close to taieb's themes ;)

URLs? By 'best' I don't of course mean the one that's the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I mean the one that's the prettiest and most elegant while also remaining useable in the real world. Many themes fail the real world test!

Steve I fully agree with you this is the best usable theme.I choose to install the default (with default icons) one though,as I don't enjoy having the icons changed...

Ditto, I too prefer the original 'know what they are at a glance' icons 8-)

Looks stunning on my E90. And yes, I prefer default icons also.

Hey guys.

I am trying to install this on my E65. It will not. Says that the phone is not able to receive this file.

Any ideas.

Great theme, but while installing it said v1.00 for me. Am I doing something wrong?

What a honorable theme...

Great with my N95 sand... what a color match! Only too bad not all icons are supported... that's killing the all-gold vibe
