Light Sabre: go iPhone-hunting on your N95!
Published by Steve Litchfield at 7:05 GMT, November 11th 2007
I'm still filing this under 'Nokia was mad not to have released the inclinometer plug-in months ago', but.... Aha, someone's produced an app that finally uses the N95's built-in accelerometer to do something really, really useful, day to day. Yep, it's your very own light sabre. Run the app, press the d-pad button and challenge a new iPhone owner to a duel (via Ricky Cadden).

Yes, the same happens to me. I get the light sabre icon appears but when clicking on it it just refreshes the menu screen and nothing...
What does it do exactly?

<SPLORF!> I hurt from laughing. Even the cat's laughing in our house. I started laughing even harder when I realised that Symbian developers have been working around the clock to find something really useful to do with that API and came up with... a light sabre. Utterly brilliant. :D

Hmm you might need to change your security settings in App Manager from Signed Only to All.

What other phones use the acceletometer? I was waitng for a while for this to come out for my 5500 since the guy published a video on youtube many months back, butthen I sold my 5500 because it still couldn't beat my 9300. Movig to the states soon and may upgrade then but the e90 doesn't have the function, not to sure about the US N95, so what other options do I have?
