Coming soon: Motorola Z10

Published by Rafe Blandford at 14:24 UTC, September 13th 2007

It seems an update to the Motorola Z8 may be on the horizon. O2, a UK operator, has the Z10 listed in its coming soon section. The picture (see full story) shows the bottom half of a phone that bears a striking resemblance to the Motorola Z8 which runs UIQ 3.1 on Symbian OS. The specifications listed include a 3.2 megapixel camera (up from 2 on the Z8), 3G and 30 frame per second video.

The usual caveats about leaks apply - there are no guarantees as to the accuracy of the information and changes may occur.

Thanks to MotoSmartphones for the tip off.

Too slow steve ;-) (just kidding)

Personally, I think October is a little optimistic, but we should be seeing this handset sometime around November :-)

No, it is DEFINITELY coming in October. I saw it on an in-store computer. Early to Mid October I think i saw.

Seems like they've remove the advert. They have the SE K850i there now.

The advert only stayed up for about 4 hours once Motorola had found out about it (mainly by reading sites such as this one and MotoSmartphones)

Before we all get too excited, who's to say it runs uiq? - Moto have brought out plenty of linux phones elsewhere, also Windows Mobile and - god forbid - their own interface. Not impossible its powered by one of those and using similar hardware to make the most of the design

Definite improvement on the Motorola RIZR Z8, I just hope that O2 do not hold it as a network exclusive for too long - will be nice to see it available on other UK networks.

Ultimate Bourne! - Great Film!
