Projekt hits S60 3rd Edition

Published by Steve Litchfield at 5:41 UTC, June 5th 2007

Projekt, already available for every other Symbian-based interface, has finally hit S60 3rd Edition, with a full spread of compatibility. One of the most mature third party applications in the Symbian OS world, Projekt is an outliner at heart, but with links, notes, import and export options, it can be used to manage projects too. Here's the UIQ 3 version, by the way.

Excellent app!

Think this was mentioned before (in the beta release discussion) but don't be put off by the errr... 'colourful' screen shots.

You can customise all the colours & make it look clean & professional or as colourful as you like.

Hi kylom

Well it IS very personal preferences ;) ...but I guess I think of 'Clean & Professional' as being mostly white backgrounds and a nice subtle highlight colour. Best for readability IMO.

Something like this...

The only thing missing in this application is the ability to sync with a PC (such as eg Handy Safe) - even if limited to notes only (without syncing attachments/links to contacts and calendar entries), this would be unbeatable, far better than MS' onenote.

I just got a data plan on my mobile. I pretty much do not need my computer anymore since I do so much with my mobile phone. The neatest thing is that I can even watch naughty movies:) It is pretty neat, it's called Mobile TV. All I do is point my phone to sexoncell.com and they have adult mobile movies in different formats like 3gp movies, symbian, pda or whatever. If you have any other cool sites, please let me know! This one, though, even has a free daily mobile movie.

I installed this about a week back. At first it seemed okay but after a while I noticed that it caused some weird messages to appear on the top right corner of my BestJotter and Maps applications. (It would say "20" in BestJotter and something-"layer open" in Maps. Subsequently it crashed the phone each time I tried to use it. So I sort of gave up.

Other than that it's a very good idea.
