Map24 has launched Map24 Mobile, a free mobile version of it's mapping and routing service. The mobile version downloads data over the air (watch those data charges) and includes full map coverage of Europe. The application is currently in Beta and is available for both 2nd and 3rd Edition S60 devices.

The main features of the application include Europe wide coverage down to street level (some areas have incomplete coverage), map browsing (pan, zoom), route planning, 2D and 3D maps views, a POI database and a powerful search feature which includes full postcode lookup.

The application can either be used purely for route planning (with start and end points searched for and marked on the map), or as a general map browsing tool. You can pan around maps, change the view from 2D to 3D and the angle of orientation and zoom in and out.

 

You can link your Map24 Mobile software to your MyMap24 Web account and this enables you to import the address book to your Map24 Mobile software, where you then have access to it on your device. This allows easier entry of frequently used addresses.
