Mile High Pinball now €9.99 on Nokia Gameshop

N-Gage and N-Gage QD owners can now buy and download the rather excellent N-Gage exclusive arcade game Mile High Pinball for just €9.99 from Nokia's online gameshop. Hopefully this heralds the start of more sensible pricing on Nokia's behalf, and some excellent value titles for N-Gage owners.
Until now the games downloads in the shop had been priced identically to their physical counterparts, which made many N-Gagers wonder why they should pay the same amount without getting a case and manual. The €9.99 price point (about £7 or $12) is a lot more attractive, and will certainly get a lot more people to try the new sales channel.

It's still unknown how much the prices on the Next Generation games service will be when it launches in Spring 2007, although the concept mockup videos shown by Nokia at E3 2006 implied that full new games would be about €20 to keep forever, €8 to rent for a month, €2 to rent for a day, and free to download a one hour demo. However none of those prices were ever officially announced or even emphasised in the E3 videos, they just appeared briefly in tiny text, and could well be simply speculation inserted there by the artists behind the mockups. It's also likely that pricing will depend on whatever companies and phone networks Nokia partners with to provide the games downloads.
