E61 Review from the 24/7 sites

Published by at

The well known 24/7 sites, which focus on Windows Mobile and Palm PDA/smartphones recently published an initial look at the Nokia E61 in three parts. Shaun found himself pleasantly suprised by the E61 and declares that the E61 is the 'best Smart Phone I have ever used. From its build quaility, through to the operating system and finally its flexibility it stands head and shoulders above the rest'.

Increasingly the E61 seems to be attracting the attention of both Blackberry owners who are looking to do a bit more with their phone (but want to retain Blackberry push email servicies) and PDAphone (Windows Mobile / Palm) users who want to try something new. The E61 has a very impressive technical feature set when compared with some its rivals combining GSM, WCDMA, GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, IR, and USB in one package. Those used to one handed, voice-centric smartphone may not be so enchanted with the E61 and may be better off looking at devices such as the N80 or N71.
