Blackberry Connect Software now available for E61

Published by Rafe Blandford at 12:03 BST, May 30th 2006

The Blackberry Connect software for the Nokia E61 is now available via the Nokia Business site. This means the E61 can now replace any Blackberry device while retaining the Blackberry email and calendar experience. The software adds a Blackberry Mail account to the Messaging application and allows you to receieve push email from your Blackberry server.

A version for the E60 and E70 will follow shortly. Microsoft ActiveSync Exchange software is already available from the Nokia Business site and has recently been updated to fix a few early bugs.

Software for Visto, and Good technology is due soon. and software for Seven email systems is expected in the second half of the summer.

Just wondering how you guys got your service books sent. I installed the software, turned on the blackberry software and changed the PIN and IMEI settings on my operators blackberry website. I then selected register now on my E61 and got the registration message but when i select to send the service books from my operators site, I don't seem to get the BIS service books.

Can anyone help? I'm on Orange France.

Thanks, D

Hi, just tried your link and the software seemed to have installed okay. But now the email doesn't work, and I can't see the installed app in the installed app folder... Know why this may be? Please let me know. Thanks.

Would this software (or any of the other versions of it listed on the nokia site) work on my N73? I'm using Emoze currently, but would like to give BBerry a go. Looks like theres other useful looking software on there too. As the N73 isn't listed which model should i select instead?
