Quicker web info update

Published by Steve Litchfield at 9:21 UTC, April 3rd 2006

For all those occasions where you need quick and cheap web info on your smartphone and it's not covered by RSS subs or other Internet apps, what you need is a bookmarked page of essentially text-only 'useful links'. I've just updated the 3-Lib web guide.

I have put my own "bookmark page" as my startup page in my mobile devices. That way I have to update my bookmarks only once...

I read these information sources about daily:

edit:
These are mostly mobile or text-only pages but there are still some web-sites that don't offer mobile version of content. Feel free to add interesting PDA/smartphone or Mac featuring web sites to my list...

Note that quite a few sites on your list are full and bloated - I revisit my links regularly to make sure the URLs still work and don't get 'reworked' 8-)

Anyway, my page is there if anyone wants to use it. Me, I save it as the first bookmark/starting point whenever I'm trying out a new device!
