Nokia Social, Doing Good and other interesting videos

Coinciding with Nokia World and the current season are a number of promotional videos from Nokia that highlight aspects of Symbian^3 that we haven't seen before on All About Symbian. Ahead of review devices arriving that actually run the new version of the OS and interface, I thought it would be useful to embed some of these videos below, for viewing over your morning coffee. Take the marketing spin with a pinch of salt in each case, but there are useful demonstrations of how the relevant parts of Symbian^3 will work.

Here's "Nokia World Social Video", showing in detail how Facebook's contacts, updates and events are all integrated into Symbian^3's homescreen, Contacts and Calendar:

Less detailed, but getting over the core point about having three homescreens that can neatly (if you like) address different aspects of your life, is this one minute video from the folks at Symbian:

Nokia's Do Good campaign, including Life Tools and Nokia Money, may not be 100% Symbian-relevant, but it's certainly commendable:

Included at the tail end of the Ovi Maps 3.6 beta story last week, I wanted to give you a chance to see this demo of the new 'check in' feature in action:

Finally, there's this ad spot by the Ovi Maps team, trying to get the point over about Own Voice, Nokia's system for letting the voices of friends and family be your navigation assistants. Fun, but they should have used actual voice samples in the ad for more effect, I think:

Oh - and one more, a TV ad for the Ovi Store - but I don't think that claiming it has "the greatest games" is going to ring true for many viewers:
