Musical bootcamp as Nokia explore discovery

Published by at

One of the big changes that Comes with Music has on the average user is that any musical track is just a few clicks away, and Nokia want to see how this treasure trove of music changes user habits by recruiting “20 heavyweight music lovers” who’d like to try out Comes with Music.

The Inside Nokia Music Blog has the full details on how to apply:

Make friends with Gaz our Nokia Music community manager on Facebook, leave a comment on this blog with your name, and answer the following 3 questions

  • What kind of music are you into?
  • How much music do you think you can download and listen to in 30 days?
  • Tell us why you want to take part in the ‘Bootcamp’?

The successful applicants will all receive a Nokia X6 Comes With Music handset, and the requisite subscriptions for twelve months of unlimited music downloads, which they’re free to keep after the 30 day survey.

What’s interesting about this survey is that while it’s likely similar to countless other surveys that Nokia have done in the past to assess Comes With Music, this one is being done in public, with those involved asked to update Facebook at least twice a day with the new music they have discovered

Perhaps the discovery that Nokia are hoping for is not just how people use the service, but also how they discover Comes with Music itself?
