Another nail in the coffin of over-fancy, bloated web sites. In addition to Opera Mini, Google Mobile and operator-branded proxies (e.g. the new Vodafone system, bought in from Novarra), you can also now surf to your heart's content without wasting bandwidth using the new version 4 of Skweezer. Start by pointing your smartphone browser at http://www.skweezer.net/.
MSN has re-launched its mobile site, mobile.msn.com. If you're heavily into Microsoft services (Hotmail, Messanger, etc.) then this makes sense to bookmark in your smartphone's web browser.
If you own an N73 then it's worth backing it up and then hooking it up to Nokia Software Update via your PC Suite. According to Ricky Cadden, there's a MAJOR new firmware update available, 4.0723.2.0.1, for many N73 variants. A2DP, FOTA and other handy acronyms(!) are reported now supported. Please comment if you do the update.

Thanks to Ares for pointing out that the Sony Ericsson P990i has had a major new firmware update (available on the Sony Ericsson Update Service). 'R6D23' has many bug fixes and improvements, positively affecting the camera, free RAM and OS speed. Maybe the P990i has finally reached its potential?
The split between Nokia's Nseries and Eseries worlds keeps getting that little bit wider, with the release of an Eseries version of PC Suite, following the Nseries version released earlier this week. Presumably the door is now open for specific N or Eseries features to be grafted in.... (Via Darla)

The new 4GB SDHC microSD cards are now becoming available at a variety of online retailers. The cards will work with the Nokia N95, but may not work with other S60 phones. MyMemory currently has stock and is selling the cards for £51.99. 4GB is enough for 4 days of music or for you to take one 5 megapixel N95 picture a day for the next 10 years!
Just a note that programme 34 is now live, with a walk-through of the Grid, web browser speed comparisons and a review of ViewRanger. You can watch here in Quicktime, subscribe here in iTunes or watch here on YouTube.
Not content with making Opera Mini 3, the hands-down best way to browse real world sites on a slow GPRS connection, the folks at Opera want beta testers for their newest project, a complete rewrite of Opera Mini to make it faster and richer, code-named Dimension. You can sign up here.
