Following the success of jZip for the P800, Malcolm Bryant and FreEPOC are releasing jZip for the Nokia 9210/9290 Communicators. With jZip on your Symbian machine, you can unzip files which have been sent as email attachments or downloaded from the internet.

Malcolm Bryant and FreEPOC have updated jABP. jABP is a personal finance program which enables you to manage your finances on your P800 and Nokia 9210. You can set up unlimited accounts, categories, standing orders and transactions, as well as showing graphs of your spending patterns, redicting future balances etc. The program is compatible with Microsoft Money and Intuit Quicken. This release fixes a few bugs from the previous version.

Great Swedish Software have released their second program for the P800. Called Safe, the program is designed for storing saftely sensitive or private data on your P800. The demo can be downloaded and program bought via Handango.

Nokia and Symbian still top in EMEA

According to the Canalys quarter 4 sales figures Nokia with its Symbian devices took 42% of the overall PDA & Smartphone market with 679,250 units shipped. This was similar to Q3 with 665,940 units, so they are keeping up the momentum. Palm came 2'nd with 381,100 and 24% and HP 3rd with 151,990 down to just 9% of the market.
