Epocware's controversial Today view and UI sheel, Handy Day 2005 has been updated to include a german language build, a new default skin and a few bug fixes. Registered users can download their new version from Epocware.
Following on from the Sharp/NTT DoCoMo accouncement last week, Sharp have confirmed they are now licencing the Symbian OS (reports Symbian). Note they're not joining Symbian, but rather just licencing the OS, in the same way Motorola are now doing.

Wildpalm have announced SMSTray, a PC based application for Series 60 owners that allows them to use their PC to read, reply and create SMS messages through their Series 60 phones. You do need Windows XP (with SP2) and a working Bluetooth dongle, but they promise that you don't need to use any Bluetooth COM ports, or the Nokia PC Suite.
RMR Software's perpetual motion game, RMRPush has been updated for the Nokia 9500 and 9300. It's a cross between Sokobahn and Pengo, and you might want to check out our review of the 9210 version from a while back.
Roman Keller has released another small but useful OPL utility for the 9500 and 9300 devices. Rebooter allows you to reset your 9500 without having to struggle with the cover and snug fitting battery, just run this application from the Desktop screen.

Nokia 9500 users have been complaining recently about the video playback quality of the default RealPlayer. And now, only a few days after frustrated Communicator users started flooding Lonely Cat Games's mail box, they have indeed stepped up to the plate and come to the rescue. Lonely Cat Games' excellent SmartMovie video player should provide those 9500 users with the movie experience they so desperately crave for.
