First of the 3GSM press releases, and it's one with a huge number of possibilities. Nokia have licenced the Excahnge portion of Microsoft's Active Sync for over the air synchronisiation. The Finnish company will continue to support their own desktop PC Suite, but given that usiness markets are predominantly MS based, this is a good move on Nokia's part - and it takes one one of the bullet points that made MS Mobiles a compelling business choice.

SymbianWare have just released Outliner for the Nokia 9300 and 9500 Communicator. Outliner is a tool for storing your private data in a secure and organised manner.
Nokia have added an official version of Mobipocket Reader to their 9500 support page. While they were at it, Pro Tour Golf is also now officially listed.
UIQ has announced that Teleca has become a member of the UIQ 3.0 Selected program. The UIQ Selected program aims to speed up development of the UIQ phone bu providing off the shelf components. Teleca will be submitting it's PC Connectivity Suite foe acceptance in the program. The PC Connectivity Suite provides a range of connectivity services for a mobile user, within the areas Synchronisation, Device Management, Multimedia and Personalisation.
Nokia and Macromedia have announced that Nokia is to integrate Macromedia Flash into Series 60. This will intially be in the form of the Flash Lite player (currently available to buy via the Macromedia website). Nokia and Macromedia will work together to create tools for content creation for their respective developer auidence. It is likely that future Series 60 handsets will have Flash Lite bundled in the same way that Real Player is currently included.
Corisoft have released SuperTree, a super list manager for the Nokia 9500 and 9300. The program is built around a database in a tree view form. There are plenty of customisation options (different field types, colours) and powerful import and export tools.
Makayama Software have just released their Mobile Media Maker application with support for the Nokia 9300 and 9500 Communicator. The Mobile Media Maker features an application for video playback on your Communicator as well as an easy to use PC converter with support for most formats, and even lets you rip straight from DVD.

New N-Gage boss Gerard Weiner has said Nokia will make "a couple of significant strategic announcements" at E3 in May, in response to a question about how N-Gage would be promoted in 2005. He also said (in a Business 2.0 interview) that Nokia was still mulling over whether to release another N-Gage model this year, saying "the question is one of timing". He also revealed we can expect some new colours of QD this year (a common marketing tactic in the games and indeed phone industry), and confirmed Nokia would support the current generation of N-Gage to the end of 2005 at least.
