Documents To Go , the office suite software, is now available for UIQ 3 phones such as the Sony Ericsson M600i, P990i and W950i. Documents To Go enables the viewing and editing of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files on your phone. The software costs $49.99, but current Documents To Go users on UIQ 2 devices can upgrade to Documents To Go for UIQ 3 free of charge.

Some Sony Ericsson P990i's are apparently sneaking out into the retail chain around the world, although most distributors now claim 'mid August'. I found this 10MB, ten minute video clip of a retail P990i being through its paces in some chap's bedroom (warning: dodgy, dodgy camerawork!). It seems that there are still bugs and performance issues. And no, AAS have still not heard anything offically from Sony Ericsson...
Finanz is a business and finance assistant for UIQ3 phones (Sony Ericsson P990i, M600i, and W950i). It helps speed the calculation of loans, annuities, compunded growth, margins and more. It also functions as a classic calculator and operates in both flip open and flip closed modes.
Mobile Whack's reporting that the Sony Ericsson P990i has finally been approved in the USA by the FCC. Here's the link to the user manual and gory internal photos, etc. Interestingly, Expansys still lists the P990i as coming in 'early July'.
Shape Services has announced the availabilityof IM+ for UIQ 3 devices such as the Sony Ericsson M600i, P990i and W950i. IM+ allows you to connect to the major instant messaging networks (MSN, Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, Jabber and Google Talk) from your phone.
