Digital Chocolate, a well known mobile games developer, will be publishing games for the next generation N-Gage platform. The first of these will be DChoc Cafe which has a virtual cafe around with a number of different casual (card, board, puzzle) games can be played. The games also features social elements with customisable characters, game recommendations and competitions.
According to a report on Pocket Gamer, the mysterious Project White Rock for the Next Generation N-Gage platform will be a cross-platform game playable on both the PC and selected Nokia S60 3rd Edition smartphones. Pocket Gamer goes on to say the title has "over a thousand lines of recorded dialogue" but is not an RPG.
The beta of Opera Mini 4 is now available from the Opera website. The new version renders a full page overview from which you can then zoom in to read the page (very reminiscent of S60's browser overview / minimap mode). Other new features include the introduction of a mouse and power scrolling making it easier to move around pages and a quick access context menu. Read on for more and screenshots.
According to a report on Gamesindustry.biz, Nokia has now confirmed it will sponsor the Leipzig GCDC game development conference for the third year in a row. Nokia will give a keynote speech, games for the upcoming next gen N-Gage platform will be on show, and there will be N95 phones up for grabs (although as yet no particular phones have actually been confirmed as platform-compatible).

Symbian has announced their 2007 Smartphone Show, at the usual ExceL centre, on Oct 16/17th, along with a new web site for the event. All About Symbian will be there in force, of course, with an extra gathering, details to be announced.
Projekt, already available for every other Symbian-based interface, has finally hit S60 3rd Edition, with a full spread of compatibility. One of the most mature third party applications in the Symbian OS world, Projekt is an outliner at heart, but with links, notes, import and export options, it can be used to manage projects too.

Nokia's Mark Ollila, one of their Games executives, is to give a speech at the Game Developers Conference China 2007, which will presumably mention their upcoming Next Gen N-Gage Games Platform that's due to open its doors to various S60 3rd Edition devices this September. GDC China takes place from 27th to 29th August in Shanghai, so it's possibly just a few days before the launch of the new platform.
