Finanz is a finanical calculator from the software house Kylom, producer of several well known 9210 programs and JoyCalc for the 7650. Finanz calculates all of those complicated financial calculations for you.
According to this article on EWeek Symbian are concentrating on the OS rather than the UI. Aside from this having been known before (the Series 60 is a Nokia UI and the UIQ has become a SE thing) it does make the decision clearer. A new version of the P800 white paper has appeared on the Mobility World of the Ericsson site. The white paper is called P800_wp_oct.pdf. Additionally it is now possible to see a preliminary userguide for the P800 on the FCC website. It is available in PDF format in two parts, part 1 here and part 2 here. Opera have announced the forthcoming avialability of their browser for Smartphone, but with a difference. It has technology that takes into consideration the size of the screen and fits it to it. The best news is that we'll be seeing this first on the P800 and Series 60 quite possibly as a user install, but more likely as an OEM option.
FreEPOC, Ewan Spence and Martin Guthrie have finished the first update to Clock6, for the Nokia Communicators. Included in this release is a bugfix for earlier versions of the Communicator firmware, some colour support for the LCD Display, the day and date are now shown, and some more formatting options have been added.

Ximplify have released version 1.0 of ClockIt! for the Nokia 92x0. Its a multi function time utility (among other things) program and is to the usual Ximplify high standard.
Jari Laaksonen has made availabl a demo of what looks to be an excellent Currency Converter for the Nokia 7650. Feedback on the new software would be appreciated by the author.
