MicroQuad is a racing game with quad bikes. It was originally a game of the Palm OS and has been ported across to Series 60. There are 20 tracks in the game in five different cups. There are also 6 different types of bikes. It is a fun game, with good gameplay, and well worth checking out.
Christmas has come early for Lifeblog fans with the new version 1.5 now available. It is a free upgrade for 1.0 registered users or 30 Euros for new users. The new version adds support for the 6670 and 6630, adds a few features (such as full screen item view and backup to CD or DVD), best of all is support for posting to blogs from either the phone or the PC. Currently only Six Apart's TypePad service is supported. But the posting process is based on the ATOM API and is fully documented so other blog services can add compatiability too. We will have a review of the new version shortly.

EPCeipt proves once again that if you have a camera in your phone developers will find innovative uses for them. This time it is for keeping track of expenses. The idea is that you photograph your receipt, record a voice tag to go with it and record other information. Later you export the information into Excel on your PC, and have all your expenses plus receipts in one file ready to go off the accounting department.
The previously mentioned Mobile NewsGrabber is now available for Series 80 (Nokia 9500 and 9300) in addition to Series 60. The program supports the offline reading of both USENET newsgroups and XML feeds in the RSS and ATOM formats.
SymbianOne talked to the authors of SnapperMail, Snapperfish, about the forthcoming UIQ version of the well known Palm OS email client. The UIQ version is based around the Triplex Core mixing MIDP 2, Personal Java and C++ in the implementation. SnapperMail should be available in mid 2005.
