DataViz has announced that until the end of August it will make its Document to Go viewer available to Motorola Z8 users at no cost (the normal cost will be $20). Documents to Go allows you to view Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. A version with editing capabilities will be available later in the year.
UK phone regulator Ofcom is taking a long look at issues around number portability in the UK, and has presented a document for discussion. There's a call for comments as well - although in light of previous VoIP discussions it goes into some nice background of the current state of play for the British market.

Ratza in our forums has determined that the Nokia E70's camera (the same as that in the likes of the N70 and a dozen other S60 smartphones?) is optimised to focus at 1 metre, rather than infinity, as was previously presumed. Looking ahead, eMarketer is predicting that roughly 17% ($2.4 billion) of the world's advertising budget is going to be via mobile devices come 2011.
Yesterday saw the Royal Court in London place a temporary injunction on T-Mobile to force them to conenct T-Mobile Customers to users of the Truphone VoIP service. The reason for the dispute? Termination fees. This is the amount that Truphone would charge T-mobile when a T-Mobile user calls a Truphone user.
