Details on the All About Symbian Pub Meet.

All About Symbian Pub Meet
Monday 15th October 2007, The Crosse Keys Pub, London (City)

Every year on the night before the Symbian Smartphone Show, All About Symbian organises an open meeting for Symbian users, developers, manufacturers and 'interesting people'(!) to come along for an informal get-together. This year is no different, and we hope that everyone who comes along will find a warm welcome, friendly conversation and have a good night out.

Our meetings always see the room bursting at the seams with excitement, so you'd be a fool to miss this one. There's usually an abundance of devices and software being shown off and each year there's something that manages to surprise us.

The AAS Team will be there from around 6.30pm, and there will be plenty of time here for developers to show off their latest software before it gets really busy for the main program of events, which will start at 8pm or so.

Where To Find Us

Once again we will be in the (huge) Crosse Keys Pub. We'll be in the function suite up the stairs at the rear of the pub.

Crosse Keys

The Crosse Keys is within walking distance of Liverpool Street and London Bridge Mainline stations, and numerous Underground stations on the Jubilee, Circle, Central and District lines.

This means it is convenient for both those staying at the Excel Centre (you're just a short DLR ride away), but also good for people in central London

What's Going To Happen

We're still filling in the details and will be updating this page as we go.

The main program of events, as listed here, will commence at round about 8pm, to give everyone time to get in from work, changed and headed to the bar, or land from their aircraft flight and find the hotel, or to finish any meetings they have and head on over. We'll be at the pub until 11pm or so...

The Raffle Prizes

As always, we'll be having a free prize raffle, and our Mystery Star Prize Bag will be on offer to the first name out of the hat - if for some mad crazy reason they turn it down (last year the mystery prize was a Nokia E61!), then it'll continue to be offered until someone takes the greatest prize imaginable.

This year we'll be giving away various items that have been collected over the last year (lots of cases, power solutions, cradles and other accessories). Following tradition, we will also be giving away a Nokia E61i and a Sony Ericsson W950 (UK only). There'll also be the usual array of alternative items...

Note for companies: We've lined up a number of raffle prizes, but please feel free to bring along something extra on the evening. We'll say nice things about you during the prize draw and in the pub meet report! You'll also have raving fans at the pub meet.
