I'd be interested in a tutorial on how to configure the chat app that comes with the 5800. I've figured pretty much everything else, but this app remains a mistery. Can it be used for IRC? Or does it depend on a service offered by the telecom?

for the above question, the IM built in is not used unless in conjunction with a service like www.mobjab.com
One add on to the tutorial, it's not recommended to put the wallpaper as a slideshow as recommended, even more so if the images are stored on memory card. Otherwise, the user will experience inexplicable jerky video usage when the memory card is accessed to change the wallpaper.

Unregistered, I believe the IM app built into the 5800 was intended for network operator chat services, but as kenkiller says it can be used in other ways too.
